Mark Braught has created images for some of the finest editorial, advertising, publishing and institutional clients and organizations in the United States. After attending the Minneapolis College of Art & Design and receiving a BFA from Indiana State University Mark began his career as an art director and creative director for various advertising agencies and publishers.
Mark Braught Studio was created in 1984 to more extensively explore illustration. Since that time his work has received numerous honors, including recognition from the Society of Illustrators, SILA, Communication Arts Magazine, Print Magazine, Step-by-Step Magazine,Graphis, ADDY, and the NY Art Directors Club. In 2004, the illustrations for the book Cosmo’s Moon were nominated for a Caldecott Award.
He has taught at a number of instititions including the Atlanta College of Art, University of Georgia, Creative Circus and Portfolio Center in addition to lectures, workshops and childrens’ in-school programs across the country.
